The crisis in Haiti has not diminished just because it is no longer the center of media attention.  GMO has been working with our missionary partners in Haiti since 1997 helping to build clinics, churches, and missionary housing.  Now the  need is escalated and there is so much that needs to be done.  .  .

Since 1997 GMO has been working with the Wall Family, Missionaries to the Central Plateau region of Haiti.  In '97 we helped to build the clinic shown below and have returned several times with teams to work the clinic and provide much needed care for the Haitian people.

Clean Water

With the over-crowding that is taking place in different parts of the country, the need for clean water is now greater than ever.   Water shortages are causing diseases related to dehydration and poor hygene.  Where water is available, the same water that is used for cleaning and bathing is also used for drinking, causing more disease due to the unsanitary condition of the water.  GMO is raising funds to drill wells where the clean water is needed the most.  Won't you please help us help them?

New Construction and Building Repair

Although the greatest destruction took place in Port Au Prince, many of the outlying regions have suffered damage as well.  GMO has been working with our missionary partners to raise and repair buildings that will benefit the Hatian people including churches, schools, and medical clinics.  Many of these building have sustained damage from January's earthquake and although they are not in danger of collapse, they are in need of repair before the rain seasons begin.  GMO is raising funds for the repair of these buildings and the construction of new ones where they are needed.  Please consider what you can do to help the people of Haiti.
